Se Wong Sun(蛇王燊)

Yesterday after school, I had dinner with my friends in Wan Chai. We got the idea from Mr. Anthony Tam who was the principal of my junior college, he suggested going to a Chinese restaurant, called Se Wong Sun. In order to extend the special Hong Kong restaurants on here, my friend and I ventured into the old neighborhood of Wan Chai for a brighter and warming dinner: Snake.

Shie Gung(蛇羹)

Shie Gung, made from ingredients such as shredded fungus, snake meat, chicken, abalone, lemongrass leaves, mushrooms and fried dough. Their staff told to us, it is generally eaten in winter, in the period from November to late March, and is believed to be “warming to the heart”. By the way, the soup was piping hot, so a bit hard to taste the full taste but the taste is really good.

Hot Clay Pot Rice with Snake Belly Meats and Fish Maw(花膠蛇腩煲飯)

It was sizzling when it arrived and there was a sweetish smell. It made from ingredients such as Snake belly meat, Fish Maw, Artichokes(技竹) and Mushroom(冬茹). The combination of snake meats and fish maw was rather interesting, also the feel and the taste are so cool.

Huge snake meat,,be scared?

Snake Soup with & without meats

The taste of Radix Discoreae(准山), Lycium barbarum L.s fruit(杞子), and other Chinese medicina were strong yet very soothing. After a bowl I felt instantly warmed up and almost sweated.
